Fuel Economy and EcoBoost Engine

On May 19, 2009, Ford Motor Company began production on a team of turbocharged & direct injection engines which have the ability to increase average fuel economy by 20% and decrease greenhouse emissions by 15%.  By 2013, Ford expects nearly 90% of its growing fleet to offer EcoBoost Technology.
For Model Year 2012, Ford offer's Ecoboost Technology in the following vehicles:
  • Ford Taurus
  • Ford Edge
  • Ford Flex
  • Ford Explorer
  • Ford F-150
